Friday Racing

Nice ride yesterday by David Flores in the first, guiding Bad Boy out and taking that one in hand to the wire. He gave Santiago-Reyes nowhere to go, and the understandably bitter apprentice tried to object after the race, but the stewards ruled that he just needs to learn how to ride like the big boys.

In yesterday's second race, Cozi Rosie - who I noted as a future stakes performer, came from behind and rolled by with power in the lane. Still looking solid.

In today's 6th race, Line of David (4-1) deserves a long look. This Sadler trainee makes his third career start and retains the services of Gomez, while stretching from a mile to a mile and a 1/16th. In career start number one, this Lion Heart colt merely ran around the track, behind winner Domonation, while going short. Next start, Line of David improved to a third behind impressive Baffert winner Take Control. That alone should make him worth a bet - but the icing on the cake is a 1:13 and change work on January 30th, which appears from any indication, to be in company with the aforementioned Cozi Rosie. I should also mention that Ziggy's Stardust should the solid favorite in here, based off his huge run behind Concord Point (one of my early Derby picks) on opening day (IMO the toughest West Coast maiden race this season). Win bet on Line of David, and an exacta box for me.

Good Luck.
